Prepainted steel coils galvanized iron, or PPGI for short, is commonly referred to as coil-coated steel, color-coated steel, pre-coated steel, etc. It is usually coated with a hot dip zinc steel substrate. The phrase is an expansion of Galvanized Iron, which is traditionally abbreviated as GI.

The process of making PPGI involves first pretreating the surface, then applying one or more layers of liquid coating by roll coating, and lastly baking and chilling the substrate, which is hot dip galvanized steel coil. Polyester, silicon-modified polyester, high durability, corrosion resistance, and formability are among the coatings that are used.

Typical Export Packaging:

• Four steel eye bands and four steel circumferential bands.
• Inner and outer fluted rings made of galvanized metal.
• Waterproof paper wall protection disk made of galvanized metal.
• Around the perimeter and for bore protection, use waterproof paper and galvanized metal.
